Monday Jazz Workshop in the Carriageworks

As part of JazzLeeds Festival 2018 in Leeds 19-24 July we have a workshop on “Learning to Play Jazz” led by Dom MooreMonday 23 July 2-4pm in the Carriageworks. Dom is a Leeds based pianist, guitarist, drummer and jazz tutor, and an expert in helping people take their first steps in jazz playing and improvisation.

Many people ask the best way to get started learning jazz as a beginner. For jazz beginners this beautiful style of music can seem intimidating and hard to tackle. Don’t worry though. You’re not alone! This 2 hour workshop will help beginners and less experienced musicians on their own path to growth. Dom will cover some core components of what you need to begin to play this wonderful style of music. Dom will get you all playing too – bring your instrument along. Let’s get to learning! Suitable for young people aged over 11.

Tickets £8/6 concessions (concession for unwaged, students and retired people)

Tickets available via the Carriageworks box office https://www.carriageworkstheatre.co.uk/
