Hugh Pascall is an award-winning trumpet player and composer from a musical family, born in Nottingham in 1983. He studied on the prestigious Royal Academy of Music jazz degree course with Gerard Presencer on a Full Entrance Scholarship, graduating in 2006 with a 1st class BMus (hons) and LRAM teaching diploma. He was the Academy’s 2005 Scott Philbrick Jazz Prize Winner and one of the first Sir Elton John Scholarship holders, studying also at the Paris Conservatoire for one year as part of the Erasmus programme.

The quartet have just recorded an album, soon to be released on Pascall’s own label, Attica Records; they’re touring the country with 20 dates this summer to celebrate. “Borderlands” will be released on 1st April.
