Leeds Youth Jazz Rock Orchestra – LYJRO gives young people from Leeds the chance to perform in a professional setting whilst learning how to be confident musicians, in both their reading and improvisation abilities. 12.00
Yaatri – a five-piece jazz crossover quintet formed in Leeds in 2018. Influenced by the Scandinavian jazz tradition, the momentum of the rhythms of India and the energy of rock and roll, their music has a strong sense of purpose and journey. 13.00
Blueberry Jam – a small Leeds based jazz ensemble who have been playing together for about 18 months 14.00
Mondo Bizarre – a 9-piece funk-soul-jazz band coming up in the exciting Leeds jazz scene 3pm 15.00
New York Brass Band -a powerful team of some of Yorkshire’s finest musicians packing an arsenal of percussion, sax, trumpets, trombones and sousaphone with a varied repertoire from jazz to pop, reggae to funk and New Orleans to ska – following a performance in Briggate earlier in the afternoon 16.00
Chapel FM Jazz Collective is a brand new, exciting, high-energy big band who play a wide range of music from across the jazz spectrum including original compositions with a healthy focus on the joy of improvisation. 17.00
