Chapel Allerton Arts Festival and Jazz leeds present Leeds pianist Chris Lloyd paying homage to the Canadian jazz giant Oscar Peterson – playing the Steinway Grand Piano! Chris is a devotee of the late Canadian jazz pianist Oscar Peterson – called the “Maharaja of the keyboard” by Duke Ellington. He was considered one of the greatest jazz pianists, and played thousands of concerts worldwide in a career lasting more than 60 years. It will be good to hear Chris playing some of OP’s tunes on the Steinway grand piano at the School of Philosophy in Woodland Lane.

At 9pm this will be followed by a jazz café jam session – all welcome – bring your instrument or your voice or just come and listen! The jam session trio is Chris Bland is on piano Steve Crocker on bass and Richard Crossley drums
