Prohibited Strangers originally began as a quartet that explored the tunes of The Impossible Gentlemen, Kenny Wheeler, Nikki Iles and Iain Ballamy. In more recent times the group has been using an increasing array of original compositions to forge a sound that is distinctly their own.
