Part of our Women Jazz leaders season – twice BBC Young Jazz Award semi-finalist  Asha Parkinson has been performing professionally with bands since the age of 11. She won a scholarship to the Purcell School and currently studies jazz sax and composition at The Guildhall. Her new ensemble, Kalpadruma explore a global feast of connections between jazz, Turkish, Arabic, Contemporary Classical and Indian music.
