Eastgate Big Band 3

Sunday afternoon Jazz Sept 29: Acoustic Basie Big Band 1.30pm @Seven Arts

Suit up, grab a drink and enjoy a nostalgic afternoon of Count Basie’s Big Band repertoire!. As part of the “World on our Doorstep” festival, Jazz Leeds present a nostalgic trip though the Swing era. The Eastgate Big band take the best of the big band genre and apply it to new projects proving that big bands can be as relevant as they ever have been in the modern music scene as well as respect the long-standing tradition. They will take you back to the early 50’s for a performance of Count Basie’s Big Band repertoire. No amps, no PA, no mics, no keyboard!
