Sunday afternoon Jazz Sept 8: Ancient Infinity Orchestra @Seven Arts 1.30pm

ancient infinity orchestra- dance workshop

Cosmic ambient devotional jazz channelling the spirits of Pharoah Sanders and Alice Coltrane, infused with a unique earthy archaic vibration.

Ancient Infinity Orchestra are a band based in Leeds. Formed at the beginning of 2018, they broke onto the Leeds scene playing gigs and collaborating with artists from other disciplines. Summer saw the band invited to play at a run of local festivals, such as Marsden Jazz and Chapel Allerton Arts Festival, and the year finished with gigs for Manchester’s Northern Quarter Jazz and other bookings around the country coming in for 2019. Our eponymous debut record was released with a sell-out gig. Influenced by psychedelia, jazz, classical and world music. Melodic and dynamic music played with jazz instrumentation, inspired by Sun Ra, nature and spirituality.
