Phil Green’s Quiet Jazz will be playing at the Jazz Jam-boree on Sunday 5 August. 1.30-2.30pm followed by a jam session £5 entry on the door 
This promises to be an intriguing afternoon of music. Phil offers this taster: ” In an increasingly noisy world, the Quiet Jazz Project offers a respite, a brief period of calm. We have been exploring ways of physically playing our instruments very quietly, and ways of playing and interacting as a group, to produce an overall effect of quietness. And yes we really do have two electric guitars, a trumpet and drums! Come and see what it’s all about. You may be surprised”.
The band play their own compositions, jazz standards, and free improvisation.
