The LUU Big Band is a 22-piece Big Band, which plays a wide variety of dance band/big band repertoire including swing, funk, pop and jazz.
They perform at prestigious music venues in Leeds, such as the Wardrobe and Hi-fi clubs and are a regular visitor to JazzLeeds at Seven Arts. The band makes a regular appearance at the Leeds University Union Summer Ball at the end of the year, and goes on a tour to the South of France over Easter.
This show is the first collaboration experiment between JazzLeeds and the MA Music Management programme from the University of Leeds. The whole show is organised and promoted by postgraduate students studying on this programme. They really hope that this will be an opportunity to bring great live music to as many people as possible.
