Catimba are a quintet dedicated to authentic Brazillian music. From traditional marches and sambas to Bossa Nova and contemporary Brazillian jazz all sung in Portuguese by Raquel Alvaro, shining a light on lesser known artists and composers that are often forgotten.
Complete with a fantastic rhythm section that really captures the essence and feel of Brazilian music and many of its different styles – Brendan Bache on drums, Joe Redgrave on percussion, Andy Leggett on bass and Vicente Magalhaes on piano.
