Help for musicians 2

Helping Our Bands And Musicians

With all jazz venues now closed because of the coronavirus, musicians and singers have seen their main source of income suddenly cease. Most musicians rely on gig money to survive and even those with teaching jobs or other supplementary incomes will be finding it difficult to support themselves during this self-isolation period. Many musicians have their music available from their own website or as downloads, and I’d urge you to join us in asking your supporters to buy their CD’s – maybe also putting links out on your social media.

So the gigs might be cancelled or postponed but at least there will then be a direct way of helping the people we that we respect and admire – that’s after all why we do what we do, because we love he music and the poeple who play it. There is no more urgent time that now…how about buying a CD a week? Or two!

Stay safe and good luck!
