Abtuse cross the loose boundaries of jazz fusion and draw on an eclectic range of latin, afro jazz and jazz funk numbers by the likes of Dave Weckl, the Yellowjackets, Brecker Bros, Snarky Puppy.

Built on a heavy drum and bass foundation, they are driven by edgy guitar riffs and keyboard vamps, with the front line leading with patterned motifs and compelling harmonies. Improvised solos develop from the groove. Their originals include not only driving Afro- Celtic rhythms and jazz funk tunes but also gentle ballads. They will be showcasing some originals from their soon to be released album.
