- Northern Star organ trio perform at jazz and blues events across the north. Each member is a talented performer with an impressive musical résumé – past bands include the spectacularly popular The New Mastersounds, gypsy jazz group Appel4, and Leeds barnstormers Meanwood Valley Stompers.
Trombonist Kevin Holbrough, lead trombone tutor from Leeds Conservatoire appears with them as special guest
Expect ‘soul jazz’ full of energy, blues and groove, with classics by Booker T and the MG’s, Jimmy McGriff, Jack McDuff, Wes Montgomery and George Benson, to name just a few. Come along and be impressed.
