The Lottie Hood Nonet is a new jazz group comprising of young, upcoming jazz musicians from the Leeds jazz scene. A 6 piece horn section along with a tight knit rhythm section offers a powerful accompaniment to Amelie Payne- Heneghan’s stirring vocals. Paying homage to classic albums such as ‘Ella Swings Gently with Nelson’ , and Sarah’s Vaughan’s ‘The Land of Hi- Fi’ as well as new offerings from contemporary musicians such as ‘Portrait’ by Samara Joy, this Nonet reimagines well-loved standards of the American Songbook and Bossa Nova compositions. Lottie Hood’s exciting new arrangements showcase the individuality of each musician in her band.
