Chapel Allerton’s own ‘Rhythm and Grooves’ based organ jazz trio playing their own take on tunes from Booker T & The MG’s, Kenny Burrell, Ramsey Lewis and Little Walter to The Doors, Steely Dan, Blue Boy and Stevie Wonder… along with original instrumentals. formed in January 2024, three in demand session musicians, having been in a band with each other for five years, gigging and recording three albums together, decided to create a red hot “Rhythm & Grooves” organ trio, playing their own 60s vibe mix of covers and original material. “Surrender To The Rhythm” with Ian Rose (Hammond organ), John Heap (bass & vocals) and John Shepard (drums)
