Rush Hour Jazz, on the first Wednesday evening of every month at Seven Arts, 6-7.15pm – free to everyone, pay as you feel (payf) collection. All money donated goes to that evening’s performers.

Each month we feature a soloist, typically playing standard repertoire with our JazzLeeds house band.

Our June show is part of the Leeds Jazz Festival 2022. On Wednesday 1st June we will be welcoming Dan Barker-Bey on the tenor sax.

Our July show is on Wednesday 6th July, and the solo artist is yet to be confirmed.

Workshops have started again and run fortnightly at Meanwood Valley Urban Farm (Barn Sugar Well Rd, Leeds LS7 2QG) on Sunday mornings, 10:30am-12:30pm (future dates include: 22nd May and 12th June). Cost per session: £10/8. All instruments and standards welcome – all you need is a wish to learn how to improvise and play jazz tunes. There is a piano available and a drum kit, otherwise please bring your instruments. Limited spaces available. To join – contact the tutor Dominic Moore.
