Big band singer and trombonist Stuart Garside makes his first appearance at rush hour jazz
Rush Hour Jazz, on the first and third Wednesday evening of every month at Seven Arts, 6-7.15pm – free to everyone, pay as you feel (payf) collection. All money donated goes to that evening’s performers.
Each month we feature soloists and singers, with our own JazzLeeds house band.

Jennie Hammond interprets the songs of Blossom Dearie, a remarkable vocalist jazz pianist, and composer from the bebop era who was able to bridge the gap between west side rhythm and east side lyrical content throughout her career
Jon Scully is a trumpet player from Leeds, who plays and sings in the classic style of Armstrong and Eldridge.

JAZZ INSTRUMENTAL WORKSHOPS
Workshops will start again fortnightly at “Northlight” (the new name for Inkwell on 31 Potternewton Lane LS73LW) on Sunday mornings, 10:30am-12:30pm – Cost per session: £10/8. All instruments and standards welcome. There is a piano available and a drum kit, otherwise please bring your instruments. To join – contact tutor Dominic Moore.
